I met Divya earlier this year through a storytelling session and had the honour of capturing her family portraits while they were in town.
Here are a few favourites. This was shot at the condominium estate.
We were lucky with the golden hour and blue skies, although clear skies in Singapore equate to..
Hot, hot, hot!
FYI, photographing toddlers: Still a work in progress, and a team effort.
By that I mean: Entertaining, bribing, capturing attention, etc.
The mamas and papas also wanted to commemorate something romantic, and so we did -- with grandma and grandpa leaning to traditional golds and textures as a backdrop. Fitting, I must say!
And of course, a moment for the ladies.
We went with two outfits this shoot, so we played around with both the traditional vs. a relaxed Sunday mood.
There's only so much we can plan and prepare, but I think a lot about a good photoshoot is when we can all work together for the best possible shot -- constantly adapting to our environment and spotting the beauty and how light shines through. Taking note of the moment and: snap, snap, snap, smile.
Digital is forgiving, film would be costly.
Oh, to capture a running toddler with a thousand and one expressions!
The estate's shelters had gorgeous arches that fit perfectly to the rustic concept that we were playing with, and we took the chance to have fun with it.
The warmth of family, and the light of companionship.
Thanks for trusting me with such a special moment,
Divya and Saravana!
